Ali Ipinge

CEO, Road Fund Administration (Namibia)

 

The Chief Executive Officer of the Road Fund Administration (RFA), Mr Ali Ipinge, was elected in 2021 as the President of the African Roads Maintenance Fund Association (ARMFA), to serve for a two-year period, in line with the Statutes of ARMFA.

Mr Ipinge took over the reign from Mr Souleyname Traore, the Managing Director of the Road Maintenance Fund of Guinea, at a ceremonial event held on 12 January 2021 in Conakry, Guinea. Prior to this appointment, Mr Ipinge held the position of ARMFA 2nd Vice President since 23 February 2018.

Prior to joining the RFA, Ipinge spent nearly a decade in the commercial banking sector in roles such as Corporate Banker at FirstRand Bank Ltd and later as Head of Business Banking at the Standard Bank Group. 

Academically, Ipinge holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Namibia as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the Maastricht Business School, with an emphasis on business strategy. 

As part of his extra-curricular roles, Ipinge serves as the chairperson of the Momentum Metropolitan Namibia Board Audit and Actuarial Committee, a role he has held since June 2019. 

Ipinge is also a board member of the Walvis Bay Corridor Group (WBCG), a strategic logistic stakeholder in the transport industry.
